KUALA LUMPUR: The Star Online (thestar.com.my) is the top news portal visited by Malaysians, according to a website rankings list released by the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA).
 
The latest list is based on both local and international websites visited by over 17 million Internet users in Malaysia.

According to the list, the second most visited news website in the country was malaysiakini.com, followed by hmetro.com.my, utusan.com.my and bharian.com.my.

Overall, The Star Online is the third most visited local website, behind mudah.my and lowyat.net.
The Star’s Malay news portal mstar.com.my, and biz.thestar.com.my were positioned in the top 25 of the most viewed local websites, ranking 18th and 22nd respectively.

In the combined list of international and local websites most visited by Malaysians, social media site Facebook topped the rankings, followed by Yahoo and Google.

The Star Online is ranked No. 9 in the combined list, malaysiakini.com (11th), hmetro.com.my (13th), utusan.com.my (14th) and themalaysianinsider.com (23rd).

The MDA report was compiled by Effective Measure (www.effectivemeasure.com) and serves as a guide to the surfing habits of Malaysian netizens.

The MDA is the representative body comprising digital publishers, advertising agencies, creative agencies and digital service providers.

MALAYSIA IS NOT A RACIST COUNTRY..... stop talking crap. i have also been living in malaysia for so many years. Obviously there will be some bad apples (mostly from UMNO) but it doesn't make us a racist country :)

I remembered I was in Primary Schools from 1986 to 1991 (SRK SRI DAMAI, Section 17, Petaling Jaya), We were "COLOUR BLIND". Malay, Chinese, Sikh and Indians will hangout together. Those were the days...

1) BE FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT FROM MY PARENTS!!!
2) Consistently closed deal 3 lots a month.
3) Change my 11 years old Ford Telstar.  Next car: Turbo-diesel and Automatic.  Aiming for a used Ssangyong Kyron OR New FOCUS TDCI.
4) Lose at least 10kg...  Current weight 93kg!!!  I'm 174cm.  Borderline Overweight and Obese.  (Last year's resolution).
5) Tithe 10% of my Income monthly to GOD!  Do devotion everyday...

Recently the MP for Titiwangsa Johari Bin Abdul Ghani  has made it clear that he does not need the Chinese and Indians to win the Titiwangsa seat. Starting from 15 December, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) with the cooperation of industry’s players have introduced a new public cellular phone numbering format into the market. The new format - known as 3 + 8 format - begins with a 011 prefix and followed by eight digit. The reason behind the new number format is pretty straight forward and obvious – there are only that much numbers are available under the existing 3 + 7 numbering format, so the new format is needed to cater future users. No change to existing customers though since both the new and old numbering format will co-exist together. So, if you find your new phone number is one digit longer than your previous numbers or your other friends, don’t panic. In fact, congratulations – you just got yourself a new 3 + 8 mobile number. For further information, you can check out the official announcement by MCMC [pdf], together with helpful FAQs provided by Celcom, DiGi and Maxis.

Origin of Christmas Candy Cane...

Do you know why there are candy canes sold & use as Christmas decoration? 

It's because of Jesus... many years ago a candy maker make it as a witness to his faith.The white symbolized the virgin birth and the sinless life of Jesus.  He made the candy hard to symbolize that Jesus is the solid rock.

The candy in the form of a "J" to represent... the name of Jesus,
He added red stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received, by which we are healed. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could be forgiven and have the promise of eternal life. amazing isn't it?
